Hair Care Essentials

I don’t normally use too many hair products because I’ve got fine hair that needs washing everyday and adding to it normally makes it greasy. But fresh hair never styles well.

I’d never heard of a hair primer before using Bumble & Bumble’s Prep & Primer. Spritz it on your hair when damp before styling or dry after styling. Or both. It’s a really light product but still gives your hair some weight and texture as well as containing a load of vitamins. It just keeps your hair in shape without static or fly-aways but isn’t heavy or greasy and doesn’t leave the plastic-y, hard coat that you get from other hair sprays. It’s a simple do-the-job spray but it’s only £8 and really helpful for those with fine hair!

My other go-to when my hair’s in need of some love actually came in my Glossybox* and it’s full-size(!). It’s the Maria Nila Luminous Colour Masque and I love Maria Nila products! My hair always feels so much softer and shinier after using this and it’s supposed to make colour last longer which is always a plus. And again, I’m an oily hair sufferer D: but this doesn’t leave any oily residue on my hair that other masks do, that end up making your hair flat and in need of another wash. It is on the pricier side but it’s definitely worth it and I think if you’re going to buy only salon-quality product it should be a hair mask.

It’s paraben and sulphate free meaning it’s not full of damaging chemicals as well as protecting from heat styling, UV rays and free radicals that make your brittle. And it smells of pomegranate.

*another post coming soon on Glossybox – it’s a cosmetics prescription service that gives you 5 beauty products (sample and full size) that’s pretty much stocked me up on mascara and moisturisers for the next year for just £14 a month.
